📣 Hey Cheer Families – Get Ready for an Amazing Season! 🎉

We are beyond excited to take our Cheer program to the next level! This season is packed with incredible opportunities for every team, and we can’t wait to help our athletes grow and thrive.

🚨 What’s New This Season?
This year, we’re shifting our focus to building strong cheer skills that will set up your child for future success—whether in our program, middle school cheer, or beyond!
❌ No Outdoor / Field Day performance
❌ No Side Line Cheering
✅ More focus on stunts, jumps, tumbling, and routines!

Because we expect a great turnout and have limited facility space, practices will be closed to spectators. Only approved LWAA volunteers, coaches, and cheerleaders will be allowed in the practice area. We’ll provide details on drop-off/pick-up procedures soon!

🕒 Tuesdays OR Thursdays | 6:15–7:45 PM (Indoor space TBD)

📝 Registration Opens: March 30 

⏳ Registration Closes: April 27 ***We are expected to fill quickly, please submit registration early if this is priority. After uniforms are ordered we will not reimburse registration. Please make sure days/times work for your family.

💡 During registration, we’ll ask:
✔️ Can your child do a cartwheel? (Yes/No)
✔️ Would they like to try out for Elite Cheer? (Ages 7-12)

🌟 ELITE TRYOUTS (Ages 7-12) – Week of April 28

📆 Practice Dates:
➡️ Week of May 5, May 12, May 19, June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23
📅 Showcase: June 29 (Final location TBA)

📣 Weekly Cheer Classes – What to Expect

🕒 90-minute sessions – once per week as outlined above

🔄Program Rotations:
✅ Stunt & Jump – Ages 8U + will participate in this rotation
✅ Dance – All levels, working in smaller groups for a routine 
✅ Stretch, Splits & Motions – Flexibility & technique training
✅ Tumbling – Skills for all levels
✅ Team Building Games – Fun & bonding time!

📌 Team Placements: After registration closes, we’ll place your child on a team. While we’ll do our best to honor requests, Elite Team spots will not be honored as this is by tryout and will be limited to 20 max athletes. 

🏆 Performances & Events

🎀 End-of-Season Showcase – A special event for friends & family!
🏈 Flag Football Championship Game – Cheer on the players at the big game!
🏅 Community Performances – We hope to increase visibility by participating in  local events as they become available. Please reach out if you have an opportunity that we may participate.

Included: Team Shirts & Cheer Bows
You’ll need to purchase:
✔️ Black biker shorts
✔️ Sneakers (Keds, cheer shoes, or similar)
